1,677 COVID-19 cases, 25 additional deaths reported in Massachusetts

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported an additional 1,677 confirmed COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the statewide total to 556,307 since the start of the pandemic. State health officials also added 25 confirmed COVID-19-related deaths to the state’s total, which is now 15,992.As of Friday, a total of 2,420,360 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been shipped to the state, of which 2,005,800 — or 82.9% — have been administered.
