KCCI provides a daily snapshot of the past 24 hours of statistics.As of 10 a.m. Sunday, the Iowa DPH website reports 227,796 confirmed cases statewide since Iowa’s outbreak began.The DPH confirmed 2,013 additional COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours. The Iowa DPH reported 15 additional COVID-19 deaths for a statewide death toll of 2,375. The website said 1,334 of the state’s deaths involved Iowans with preexisting conditions.The Iowa DPH reports 153 COVID-19 outbreaks among long-term care facilities in the state, accounting for 4,792 of Iowa’s total positive cases. COVID-19 outbreaks at long-term care facilities account for 1,062 of the state’s total deaths. Of Iowa’s 99 counties, 87 report 14-day positivity rates above 15%. Two Iowa county, Lucas County and Poweshiek County, report a 14-day positivity rate below 10%.According to the state’s website, a total of 1,208,055 Iowans received COVID-19 tests. The health department reported 4,853 lab test results in the previous day, with 1,171 positive results. The state receives lab test results from prior days that add to the overall total.Iowa DPH reports 1,175 hospitalizations, of which 235 Iowans are in intensive care units. Iowa hospitals admitted 131 in the last 24 hours, compared to 127 admitted the day before.Iowa’s average reported positivity rate is 17.8% over the last 14 days. Of the state’s confirmed cases, 131,099 Iowans recovered.
