1,004 new COVID-19 cases, 28 additional deaths reported in Mass. – WCVB Boston

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported an additional 1,004 confirmed COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the statewide total to 569,620 since the start of the pandemic. State health officials also added 28 confirmed COVID-19-related deaths to the state’s total, which is now 16,339.The daily report was delayed by more than two hours. The DPH has yet to provide a reason for the delay.As of Monday, a total of 2,836,670 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been shipped to the state, of which 2,535,295 — or 89.4% — have been administered.
