1,004 new COVID-19 cases, 28 additional deaths reported in Massachusetts

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported an additional 1,004 confirmed COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the statewide total to 569,620 since the start of the pandemic. State health officials also added 28 confirmed COVID-19-related deaths to the state’s total, which is now 16,339.The daily report was delayed by more than two hours.
