I ended Day 1 of London Fashion Week with Paul Costelloe show at the lovely Le Meridien Piccadilly hotel. I was so excited to sitting front row for his show and taking the lovely photos for you guys. His spring summer 2017 collection theme was ‘The Rejuvenation of Linen’. Paul Costelloe’s collection interprets his desire to constantly reinvent and reinvigorate in this ever-changing face of the world.

Paul Costelloe conveys a powerful message to the woman who is confident powerful, modern and extremely stylish through his collection. The collection features a plethora of fabrics and materials, from organza, brocade, metallic printed cotton to PVC. At the forefront of the collection was linen in different forms of neutral colours and structured tailoring, exaggerated pleats and embellishments.

Costelloe used both Belfast Lined and Wexford Lines in the collection creating different looks with one fabric also questioning the current political scenario. His collaboration with Linen mills on both side of the Irish border signals the strong long-time support for a special relation between the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

My favourite aspect of his collection was that the linen used from the time when linen was created from an organic and natural material and not mass produced product found commonly today,

Overall it was an incredible show celebrating the power and style of a modern woman through some outstanding garment construction.
