Falling off the cliff’: Experts say Trump’s quick move to hospital could be sign of serious COVID illness – USA TODAY

President Donald Trump was taken to Walter Reed hospital Friday evening after being diagnosed with COVID-19 late last night. For many patients, being hospitalized indicates they are on the edge of falling seriously ill, doctors say. “If he went from being on the campaign trail to feeling sick yesterday to having a fever and now being hospitalized, I would be worried about him as a patient,” said Dr. Peter Chin-Hong, who has treated dozens of COVID-19 patients but isn’t privy to the President’s condition. “Hospitalization typically indicates a higher level of disease.” White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said Friday the president "remains in good spirits and has mild symptoms."  "Out of an abundance of caution, and at the recommendation of his physician and medical experts, the Pr...

‘No Time to Die’ Release Pushed Back to 2021 – Variety

“No Time to Die,” the latest James Bond installment, will be postponed until next year, the filmmakers announced Friday. The film, starring Daniel Craig in his final stint as the agent formerly known as 007, is expected to hit theaters April 2, 2021, a year later than initially planned. Curiously, “No Time to Die” is now set to open the same weekend as “Fast & Furious” sequel “F9.” Universal, the studio behind the high-octane franchise, is distributing the Bond film internationally. Back in March, “No Time to Die” was the first major tentpole to shift its release date before the global health crisis caused by coronavirus could even be classified as a pandemic. After its first delay, the movie was set to premiere in the U.K. on Nov. 12 and in North America on Nov. 20. ...

Salmonella Outbreak Linked To This Popular Housepet | Mount Pleasant Daily Voice – Daily Voice

The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) is telling owners to avoid kissing and snuggling a popular household pet -- no matter how cute they are -- after 32 cases of Salmonella were linked to hedgehogs. Thirty-two individuals in 17 states have been infected with Salmonella Typhimurium as of late September, with five hospitalizations. Of the 23 patients interviewed by the CDC, 16 reportedly came into contact with the small, spiky housepets.  The agency said that droppings from a hedgehog in the home of an ill New Yorker contained the strain of Salmonella that had been found in the 32 patients.  The strain, the CDC said, is identical to one that caused Salmonella outbreaks in 2012 and 2019.  While the hedgehogs themselves may appear spry an...
