Research-paper-topicsI have always been scared half to death of research papers. I know it is an irrational fear, but I can't help it. I can't even think of research paper topics without going into a fit of panic. Anytime I try to think of an interesting research paper for my class, I basically break down. If I work with a friend on it, he or she can talk me through it all, but still eventually I have to sit down and write it. That is when the crying starts.
When I first went on the Internet to look for research term papers, I didn't have any bad intentions. All I really wanted, in fact, was to find some research paper topics to use. I knew that I was allowed to get topics for research papers from other sources, so why not the Internet? Our research paper topic was due the next day, and I still hadn't the foggiest idea. All of the research paper topics that I thought of seemed stupid, and nothing came to mind that would get me a good grade. I logged on to some free research paper topics websites and started to look around.
That is one temptation hit. It was one thing to say that I would confine my browsing to research paper topics, but it was another entirely to have all of these finished, well written papers in front of me to choose from. The temptation to plagiarize was almost overwhelming. At first, I resisted. I did skim the papers a little bit, but only in the interest of figuring out which research paper topics seemed to lead to good papers. I went to school the next day with my research paper topic picked out, turned it in to my teacher, and had a relatively clean conscience. However, that night, temptation started again. Having topics for research papers, after all, is not the same as writing them.
Finally, I gave in to the temptation. I started looking at the free research papers, stealing bits and pieces from this and that one. There were several on the research paper topic that I had chosen, so it was pretty easy to do. The problem is that once I was done, my research paper looked like a Frankenstein monster. Although the research paper topics matched, the individual research papers didn't. It was clear that it had been plagiarized and cut up from other sources. By the time I was done editing it, in fact, I had put in so much work changing it that it was almost as if I had written it myself!
